MHT-CET 2010 – ADMISSION PROCESS

DMER Bachelor of Para Medical Technology (BPMT) Courses www.dmer.org

This Notification is being issued in regard to the process of selection and admissions to be granted to the 1st year of Bachelor of Para Medical Technology (BPMT) Courses for the Academic Year 2011-2012, pursuant to the Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET 2010) conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra on 12.05.2011.

Information regarding the various courses, number of seats including category-wise seat distribution and the Institutions conducting these courses is available on the web site of DMER. The selection and admission for BPMT courses will be governed by the rules stated in the Preference Form Information Brochure. The Preference Form Information Brochure is available on website of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), i.e. www.dmer.org . Candidates should carefully go through the entire Information Brochure and follow the instructions for further course of selection and admission. Kindly note that non-compliance with any of the provisions set out in the Information Brochure will result in rejection of claim for admission. The candidates should attend the counseling (proxy not allowed) at the respective Regional center as given in Table 1 below on the scheduled dates and at the scheduled sessions, in accordance with their S.M.L. No. as given in Table 2. During the counseling session eligible candidates will fill the preferences for BPMT courses. The list of institution-wise, various course-wise codes are available on the website along-with all other relevant information.

DMER MHT-CET 2011NOTIFICATION

MHT-CET 2011 – ADMISSION PROCESS

This Notification is being issued in regard to the process of selection and admissions to be granted to the 1st year of undergraduate Health Science Courses for the Academic Year 2011-2012, pursuant to the Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET 2010) conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra on 12.05.2011. The procedure set out hereunder will apply to selection of candidates to be admitted at the following institutions: -

(A) All State Government Colleges;

(B) All Municipal Corporation Colleges;

(C) All State Government aided colleges;

(D) 85% seats in Private Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in the State. (As per orders of Hon’ble High Court, Mumbai in Review Petition No. 8634 of 2007 in Writ Petition No. 6332 of 2005).

(E) Such other colleges and/or such number of seats from other colleges which may by mutual consent be decided to form part of this admission process.

The “Preference Form Information Brochure” is being made available to only those categories of candidates set out in Table No.2, who are desirous of seeking admission to the aforesaid colleges through this Admission Process. This Information Brochure contains the information required by candidates for filing preference form, for the purpose of seeking admission. General instructions to the candidates for filing preference form, method of scrutiny of documents, method of selection and admission, as also as a matter of guidance, the information regarding last admitted State Merit List No. in various courses region-wise for the year 2010-11, etc., are set out in the Information Brochure. A dummy preference form is also included which can be used by the candidate for practicing submission of a preference form in terms of the schedule set out hereunder at the Regional Centres.

Kindly note that the preference form in the Information Brochure is not original or final and is only a dummy preference form provided for practice.

Candidates can obtain the Information Brochure free of cost after showing the original MHT-CET-2011marksheet, from the office of Divisional Authority for their respective districts as given in Annexure ‘A’ of MHT-CET 2011 Health Sciences Brochure, from 2nd July 2011.

A copy of the Preference Form Information Brochure is also made available on website of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), i.e. www.dmer.org.

Candidates should carefully go through the entire Information Brochure and follow the instructions for further course of selection and admission. Kindly note that noncompliance with any of the provisions set out in the Information Brochure will result in rejection of claim for admission.

On the scheduled dates and at the scheduled sessions, the candidates in accordance with their S.M.L. No. and category-wise, are required to attend in person, the counseling at the respective Regional centers as set out in Table 1 below.

Admission Process of PGM-CET 2011 for Postgraduate MDS Course (PERSONAL COUNSELING ROUND) In compliance to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India order in WP(C) no.197/2011 & 229/2011 dated 13th May 2011, there will be an extended 2nd Round of PG counseling 2011 from 4thJune 2011 to 19thJune 2011 under 50% All India Quota – 2011.
In view of the above stated Extended second round of 50% All India Quota seats, the schedule to fill State Quota seats by Personal Counseling round will be as per below stated schedule.

The selection process will be according to the rules of PGM-CET 2011. All the desirous candidates who are eligible as per the rules should attend the personal counseling round according to the above schedule. The candidates should bring all the original documents for verification as per the rule no. 12.2.3 of PGM- CET 2011 information brochure.

Candidates who have already joined a PG Course through PGM-CET 2011 and not submitted status retention form should bring a certificate issued by the institute where he/she has joined, stating that the original certificates have been retained by it.

Candidates should note that they have to confirm the admission immediately after allotment of seat by paying Rs.1000/- in cash as admission fee and deposit all the original documents at the time of personal counseling.

MHT CET Results will be available on www.dmer.org today at 10:00 am. For the students aspiring to get into any professional colleges, 14th June is the day. DMER The Directorate of Medical Education and Research will declare the results of the Maharashtra Health and Technology Common Entrance Examination MHT-CET 2011 at 10am on its website www.dmer.org.

The results will be available on DMER websites—www.dmer.org and www.dte.org.in—from 10am onwards.

The MHT-CET is the single exam for admissions to health sciences, engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. The admission for veterinary sciences (BVSc and AH) are also conducted through the same exam.

Students born in the state will not require a domicile certificate for admission to professional courses.Birth certificate or school-leaving certificate will be accepted. Domicile certificates are proof that a student resides in Maharashtra for at least 15of the last 20 years. Submission of the certificates was made mandatory for admissions to engineering,pharmacy,law and management courses for the first time this year.

The government just declared that the Domicile certificate not needed for the local students for the admissions to any professional courses. Domicile certificates will not be needed for admissions to professionalcourses for students born in the Maharashtra state.
