Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Econometrics with a minimum of 55% Marks and a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute of repute in India or abroad OR Master’s Degree in Library Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute of repute in India or abroad OR Ph.D. Degree in Library Science.

Desirable: Ph.D Degree in Social Science or equivalent research work in the field of Library Science, Diploma in IT or Computer Science.

The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

The Central Office of the Reserve Bank was initially established in Calcutta but was permanently moved to Mumbai in 1937. The Central Office is where the Governor sits and where policies are formulated.
