ADMISSION NOTIFICATION (CAP)
First Year of Post HSC Diploma Courses in Surface Coating for academic year 2009-2010
Online applications are invited from the aspiring Maharashtra State candidates who have passed HSC examination or equivalent examination for admission to First Year of Two/ Three/Four year Post HSC Diploma courses in Surface Coating in Govt, Govt Aided and such unaided polytechnics/institutes and/or such number of seats from unaided institutes, which by mutual consent have decided to form part of thisadmission process of for the academic year 2009-10.
Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate for admission to First year / Semester of Diploma courses in Surface Coating:
Diploma Course in Surface Coating Technology:
The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination
of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its
equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and
secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. 135
marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State
only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
Availability of Information brochure and Application Kit and other details
• Information Brochure and Application Kit will be available for sale at the cost of Rs.
400/- for General Category candidates (Rs. 300/- for Reserved Category candidates
belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Cash at all Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs)
listed below. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable
and non-transferable under any circumstances.
• It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the Information Brochure and
Application Kit from respective ARC. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and
Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form and
Option/Preference Form.
• Submission of the online application form in response to this admission notification will
amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and
upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules
& regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having
submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these
rules & regulations.
Submission and Confirmation of online filled application form:-
• All Candidates are required to fill the web based online application form on
http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 at ARC/ Cyber Cafe or any computer connected to internet
and take printout of the “Online filled Application Form”.
• The candidate should sign on the printout of online filled Application Form and attach the
required attested copies of certificates.
• All Maharashtra State candidates should report in person to the ARC for confirmation along
with attested true copies and original documents for verification. Applications submitted
Online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs will only be considered valid for further
processing.
• The candidate should confirm only one application form.
• The Maharashtra State Candidates belonging to VJ/DT (NT A), NT B, NT C, NT D, OBC and
SBC categories should produce “Non Creamy Layer Certificate” issued by Sub Divisional
Officer/ Deputy Collector of the district in addition to the caste certificate. The “Non Creamy
layer Certificate” should be valid up to 31st March 2010. In case, if these candidates are not
able to produce the Non Creamy layer certificate at the time of confirmation of application
form at ARC; then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and
such candidates will not be able to stake claim on reserved seats in the entire admission
process.
• In lieu of the “Certificate of Indian Nationality” following documents will also be acceptable
1. The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as ‘Indian’
or place of birth in India.
2. Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authorities.
3. Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India issued by
competent authority.
• In case of Domicile certificate, it should be issued by the Maharashtra State’s appropriate
authorities, clearly indicating domicile by permanent residence will be considered valid. The
domicile certificate indicating domicile “By Choice” or “Education Purposes” or “Intended to
stay” will not be valid. The domicile certificate of Mother of the candidate should have been
issued after her marriage, such certificate issued before her marriage will not be valid. In
case of mother’s domicile certificate, the candidate shall submit an affidavit on Rs. 20/-
stamp paper, stating that the person in whose name the domicile certificate is issued is the
mother of the candidate.
• 5 seats are available over and above the sanctioned intake in Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune under centrally sponsored scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development of GoI for persons with disabilities. Candidate seeking admission against this seat shall apply directly to the Principal of the Institute.
• Other than Maharashtra candidates (OMS) are not eligible for admission through CAP, such
candidates shall contact to unaided institutes for admission in institute level seats.
• The candidates are advised to report to the same ARC from where the form is purchased for
various activities.
• ARCs shall also provide support to candidate for browsing of information such as Merit No.,
Allotment Status, etc.
• New Unaided Diploma Institutes have given consent to participate in CAP and updated list
of such institutes will be displayed only on http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 .
