ADMISSION NOTIFICATION (CAP)

First Year of Post HSC Diploma Courses in Surface Coating for academic year 2009-2010

Online applications are invited from the aspiring Maharashtra State candidates who have passed HSC examination or equivalent examination for admission to First Year of Two/ Three/Four year Post HSC Diploma courses in Surface Coating in Govt, Govt Aided and such unaided polytechnics/institutes and/or such number of seats from unaided institutes, which by mutual consent have decided to form part of thisadmission process of for the academic year 2009-10.

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate for admission to First year / Semester of Diploma courses in Surface Coating:

Diploma Course in Surface Coating Technology:

The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination
of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its
equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and
secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. 135
marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State
only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

Availability of Information brochure and Application Kit and other details

• Information Brochure and Application Kit will be available for sale at the cost of Rs.
400/- for General Category candidates (Rs. 300/- for Reserved Category candidates
belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Cash at all Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs)
listed below. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable
and non-transferable under any circumstances.

• It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the Information Brochure and
Application Kit from respective ARC. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and
Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form and
Option/Preference Form.

• Submission of the online application form in response to this admission notification will
amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and
upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules
& regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having
submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these
rules & regulations.
Submission and Confirmation of online filled application form:-

• All Candidates are required to fill the web based online application form on
http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 at ARC/ Cyber Cafe or any computer connected to internet
and take printout of the “Online filled Application Form”.

• The candidate should sign on the printout of online filled Application Form and attach the
required attested copies of certificates.

• All Maharashtra State candidates should report in person to the ARC for confirmation along
with attested true copies and original documents for verification. Applications submitted
Online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs will only be considered valid for further
processing.

• The candidate should confirm only one application form.

• The Maharashtra State Candidates belonging to VJ/DT (NT A), NT B, NT C, NT D, OBC and
SBC categories should produce “Non Creamy Layer Certificate” issued by Sub Divisional
Officer/ Deputy Collector of the district in addition to the caste certificate. The “Non Creamy
layer Certificate” should be valid up to 31st March 2010. In case, if these candidates are not
able to produce the Non Creamy layer certificate at the time of confirmation of application
form at ARC; then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and
such candidates will not be able to stake claim on reserved seats in the entire admission
process.

• In lieu of the “Certificate of Indian Nationality” following documents will also be acceptable
1. The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as ‘Indian’
or place of birth in India.
2. Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authorities.
3. Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India issued by
competent authority.

• In case of Domicile certificate, it should be issued by the Maharashtra State’s appropriate
authorities, clearly indicating domicile by permanent residence will be considered valid. The
domicile certificate indicating domicile “By Choice” or “Education Purposes” or “Intended to
stay” will not be valid. The domicile certificate of Mother of the candidate should have been
issued after her marriage, such certificate issued before her marriage will not be valid. In
case of mother’s domicile certificate, the candidate shall submit an affidavit on Rs. 20/-
stamp paper, stating that the person in whose name the domicile certificate is issued is the
mother of the candidate.

• 5 seats are available over and above the sanctioned intake in Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune under centrally sponsored scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development of GoI for persons with disabilities. Candidate seeking admission against this seat shall apply directly to the Principal of the Institute.

• Other than Maharashtra candidates (OMS) are not eligible for admission through CAP, such
candidates shall contact to unaided institutes for admission in institute level seats.

• The candidates are advised to report to the same ARC from where the form is purchased for
various activities.

• ARCs shall also provide support to candidate for browsing of information such as Merit No.,
Allotment Status, etc.

• New Unaided Diploma Institutes have given consent to participate in CAP and updated list
of such institutes will be displayed only on http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 .

Revised Schedule of Option form filling and further activities for Admission to First Year of Post SSC  Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology 2009-10.

The candidates who have confirmed their online application forms for admission to First Year of Post
SSC Diploma courses in Engineering/Technology through CAP are informed that they shall follow the

start the second shift for selected courses in 18 existing Government Polytechnics and some more

Submission of Online Option/Preference Form for CAP Round-I, II & III and the Counselling Round of Admission (CAP Round-IV) of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the Academic Year 2009-10

This Notification is being issued only for those eligible candidates (whose names are appeared in the Final Merit of MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM published on 29th June 2009 on http://www.dte.org.in/mba) to be admitted to seats available for respective CAP rounds of admission in First Year of Post Graduate Degree courses in MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM in the institutes participating in the CAP for the academic year 2009-10.

The Candidates who are eligible (as per rule no. 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 mentioned in the information brochure) for admission to First Year of Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM are
required to submit the Online Option Form for various CAP rounds on website www.dte.org.in/mba through their login ID. Candidates are required to submit and confirm the online option form by himself/herself
(candidates are not required to go to ARC for verifying & confirming online option form). Once the candidate confirms his/her Option/preference form online through his/her Login ID for the respective
admission rounds, will not be able to change the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.

Separate lists of candidates eligible to participate in each of CAP Round II, III & IV, will be published on the
website as per schedule and shall be subject to the ‘Rules of Reporting’ set out in the Annexure-I of the
Information Brochure.

- Candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- in cash as a facilitation fee for each of CAP Round I, II and III at ARC if the facilitation of ARC is availed by the candidate for submitting the online option form.

- Candidates are required to pay Rs.100/- in cash as a processing fee for CAP Round IV (Counselling Round) at the Counselling Centre.

- Procedure for Filling up of the Online Option/Preference Form for CAP Round-I, CAP Round-II and CAP Round-III, through Candidate’s Login and Reporting to the allotted institutes after allotment is
given in information brochure. Candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully.

- All the candidates except Backward Class Category of Maharashtra Sate are required to pay full fees as approved by the Government for Govt./Govt. Aided/ University Department/University Managed
institutions and as approved by Shikshan Shulka Samitee for unaided institution at the time of confirming the admission in the allotted Institute. (Refer Rule 9.0 and 9.1)

- Admission Round by counselling i.e. CAP Round-IV: Only MS candidates whose names have appeared in the list of candidates eligible to participate in the CAP Round-IV, are required to report in person at
the following Centre of Admission as per the schedule:

Note:

4. The Option/preference form just submitted, but not confirmed by the candidate himself/herself will not be processed for allotment for respective CAP Rounds.

5. The Online Option/preference form once confirmed by the candidate will not be cancelled.

6. The online Option/preference form once confirmed by the candidate can not be changed/altered/modified.

7. Candidate should keep the printout of the online option/preference form after confirmation by the candidate for future reference.

8. All institutes will remain open between 11 am to 5 pm on all days of reporting.
