MAH CET 2010 NOTICE
Govt. of Maharashtra has decided to conduct a single Combined Common Entrance Test for selection to all degree courses in Health Science, BVSc & AH, Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday 6th May 2010 at all the district headquarters in Maharashtra.
The merit list of the MAH CET 2010 will be utilized for admission in;
-Govt./ Muncipal Corp. / Govt. Aided Colleges of Health Science degree courses.
-Govt./Govt. Aided / university Managed Colleges / university department /Autonomous colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (those colleges who have given conset to participate in MHT-CET-2010) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses
-BVSc & AH degree course.
A single Application form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be made available from 12/03/2010 for MAH CET 2010.
The schedule and place of receiving and submission of application form for MAH CET 2010 is as following:

Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the respective MHT-CET-2010 brochures, before purchasing the application form.
The cost of the application form along with the three information brochures of MHT-CET-2010 and Examination fee is Rs.700/- for open category and all Outside Maharashtra candidates and Rs 500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State only).This amount is not refundable.

EXAMINATION MHT-CET 2010 Health Science Courses:
Date of Examination: The examination will be conducted at various centres in Maharashtra on
Thursday, 6th May 2010.
3.2 Schedule & Test Design: The MHT-CET-2010 for Health Science Courses will consist of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks.
Paper I : Physics & Chemistry (50 marks each)
Paper II : Biology (Botany & Zoology - 50 marks each)
Paper III : Mathematics (100 Marks)
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO Health Science Degree Courses :
- The candidate must be an Indian National. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Non Resident Indian (NRI)/Overseas citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible. (Exception: Annexure “J”).
- The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1993 to be eligible to appear for MHTCET-2010. However, for admission to Ayurved and Unani courses, candidate must be born on or before 1st October 1993. The Birth certificate indicating name of the candidate, Secondary School Certificate i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or School Leaving Certificate endorsing the date of birth will constitute a valid proof.
- Upper age limit and number of attempts criteria (to be implemented from Entrance Examination 2011 i.e. Academic Year 2011-2012)
- Upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this Upper age shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates belonging to constitutional reservation (Annexure -B). (to be implemented from Entrance Examination 2011 i.e. Academic Year 2011-2012)
- The number of attempts which a candidates can avail at Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformaly for all the candidates. (to be implemented from Entrance Examination 2011 i.e. Academic Year 2011-2012)
- The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Preference form filling as per proforma (Annexure-I).
- The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from an Institution situated in the state of Maharashtra. (Please refer 4.6 for exception)
- The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/12th Standard) or equivalent examination, from an Institution situated in the State of Maharashtra (Please refer 4.7 & 4.8 for exception) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) at the time of admission
Application Form and Information Brochures for MHT-CET 2010 Health Science Courses
Mode of Sale: A single Application form and three information Brochures for MHT-CET 2010 (Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be available at Junior College/High School where candidate has studied for HSC (12th Std examination). Prescribed application forms as per the requirement shall be obtained by Head Master/Principal of the college from the Principal/Dean of the notified college in the district.
The cost of application form along with the Information Brochures of MHT-CET-2010 and the Examination fee is Rs.700/- for open category, and Rs.500/- for reserve category candidate. This amount is not refundable.
The School/Junior College should submit two separate demand drafts / pay orders, one for open category candidates, another for reserve category candidates drawn in favour of “Competent Authority MH-CET, Mumbai,” on any scheduled commercial Bank, payable at Mumbai, to the Notified College while collecting application forms. Duly filled application form
should be submitted by the candidate to the same Junior College/School, from where he/she has passed / appearing for HSC or equalient examination, on or before the prescribed date.
DECLARATION OF RESULT for MAH Health Science Admission

This section briefly explains the various stages and procedure adopted for the CAP. Candidates seeking admission to Pharmacy courses are required to appear for MHT-CET 2010/AIEEE-2010 conducted by the respective Competent Authority.
For the academic year 2010-11, the Competent Authority shall conduct total Four (4) rounds of Centralized Admission. The CAP shall consist of first three (3) rounds of Centralized Allotment wherein eligible candidates of respective rounds (both Maharashtra and AIEEE) will fill & confirm separate/fresh Online Option forms for respective rounds. Minorities Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra ( www.dte.org.in/mcm) is going to invite applications and sanction nearly Rs. 60 crore towards scholarships and reimbursement of fees for students in Maharashtra.
Under this scheme (Details of Scheme on www.dte.org.in/mcm), selected candidate will get an amount of Rs.20,000/- to Rs.25,000/. A total of 5000 students all over Maharashtra will be provided these scholarships, out of which 30% is reserved for girls. Last date for submission of application is 18th February, 2010 on www.dte.org.in/mcm.
Students in Maharashtra can apply for this scheme online at the website of Directorate of Technical Education http://www.dte.org.in/mcm/. Or the forms can be downloaded and submitted to the educational institutes.
Criteria for Eligibility for Scholarship : The criteria for eligibility of scholarship/fee re-imbursement are:
1. Must be a domicile of Maharashtra
2. Must belong to the minority community (Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Parsi))
3. Family income should be less than Rs.2.5 lakh per year.The entire process of application, scrutiny, sanction and disbursal has to be completed before March 2010.
