Times Bandra Festival at MMRDA Bandra East

Join us to celebrate the spirit of Bandra at the Times Bandra Festival. A cultural mix of music, dance, handicraft, theatre and food awaits your arrival at MMRDA grounds. Bandra Kurla complex.  The festival is showcasing an interesting mix of performances like Plays, Music Programs, Poetry Reading, Workshops on Handicraft, Origami etc.  Music lovers be there at 8:00 and enjoy sufi, Qawwali, Gazals etc.
This event is upto Saturday 25th 2008.

Times Bandra Festival Schedule

Here is the schedule for the Times Bandra Festival.

DAILY PROGRAMMES 

Theatre – 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm

Kids  Play by Ekjute Theatre Group ( Age : 7 yrs to 12 yrs)

Plays & poetry reading sessions, Children’s workshop will be help by Nadira Babbar & Juhi Babbar.

6:00 pm – 7:30pm

The Actor’s Workshop ( Age 15 yrs plus) – Learn actiong, Voice Modulation, speech, body movements, diction, stage craft.

Handicraft – Artist from all over India will sell handicraft, antiques, carpets, onyx items, glass idols, wooden product, candles, baskets, wall hangings and paintings.

Food – 4:00

Multi-cuisine stalls selling chaat, South Indian, pastries, patties, sandwiches, pizza, juice, ice cream and mouth watering snacks.

Also Tattoo and Mehendi artist.

Times Bandra Festival

Bandra people, Get ready to welcome the exciting week of dance, music, theatre, visual art, craft and of course food. Times Bandra Festival starting from 18th October has something for everyone.

Times Bandra Festival has grown over the years and will be showcasing interesting mix of performances. Art show organized by Ashish Balram Nagpal, Plays will be put up by Nadira and Juhi Babbars - The Ekjute Theatre Group. There will be poetry reading sessions and workshops for children and adults. The range of rich handicraft of India will be showcased having carpets, glass idols, wooden toys, candles, baskets, wall hangings etc. Origami, painting and wood modeling will keep children busy creatively.

For Music lovers  8:00 pm is the time to be at Times Bandra Festival. There will be various music performances everyday starting at 8:00 pm. Gazals by Talat Aziz, Fusion santoor by Rahul Sharma, Sufi by Kailash Kher, Qawwali by Munnawar Masoom, Rock by Pentagram and renditions by Suresh Wadkar, Abhijit and Shreya Ghoshal.
