1. To appoint Channel Partners
- Responsible for identification, short listing, appointment & development of channel partners which will increase the reach and market penetration
- Appointment of channel partners and their manpower.
- Ensuring that sufficient manpower is on board as per budget.

2. Sales Targets & Business Management
- To achieve desired business so as to achieve ROI of channel partners.
- Meeting monthly targets of data OBV and installation revenue, new account penetration, new product sales through Channel Partners
- Update Channel Partner on Airtel products, services, system and processes so that they are able to close business independently
- Channel Partner and manpower retention.
- Ensuring CP & SI Commissions payoff is done.

3. Team Motivation & Leadership
- Heading a team comprising Indirect Channels.

Job Profile :

To define, cascade and manage systems and processes ensuring compliance with provisions of Indirect Taxes, Direct Taxes & Regulatory by interpreting provisions / laws for telecom industry.

1. Ensure proper coordination with the circle Tax Manager at respective hub.

-Lead the tax team at the hub and taking on complete task of VAT / CST/ entry tax / entertainment tax / TDS compliances under indirect / direct taxation and coordination for the regulatory matters.

- To supervise and directthe circle tax manager to ensure indirect tax / direct tax compliance and optimisation.

- To appraise the circle tax managers of all the taxation issues viz-a-viz tax teams at APO-Central Tax Team/CSS/PC-Tax.

- Co ordination with other functions, viz, SCM, CSS team, PC group, Central Tax Team. - Liasioning with external consultants for allthe tax related issues in close consultation with the Central Tax Team.

- To review replies & finalize all the SCNs / appeals & submit the same with department under intimation to the APO tax team. Parallelly RTM should discuss & finalize company position on various contentious matters with the Central Tax Team. Any new issues must be discussed & Central Tax Team to decide company position keeping in mind the pan India implications thereof.

- To update the Central Tax Team of all the movements / developments in various litigations with the department for the respective hub.

-Ensure circle-level consultants are also updated on the tax bulletins detailing the stand of Bharti Airtel on various tax issues.

2. Ensure Tax Compliances. ? Ensure all the tax compliances at the respective hub in terms of the issued Corporate Tax Guidelines / any other guideline issued by Central Tax Team.

-Ensure NIL pendency of F forms for the period prior to 31.03.09 by 31.12.09. ? Ensure NIL pendency of C forms for prior years by 31.12.09.

- Ensure timely issuance / receipt of F / C forms for the respective hub - as per the timelines set by the Central / Central Tax Team.

-Ensure collation of all the working papers, service tax returns with proper backup files.

-Communicate and ensure implementation of tax compliance processes to be followed across all the Hubs.

- Ensure that the VAT audits are

completed before the prescribed time limit & the VAT returns are filed as required by law.

- To get the monthly review of the compliance / ongoing tax issues with Central Tax Team and circulate the minutes with the agreed timelines.

- Analyse the information and review the preparation of audit reports.

- Interface with external authorities toensure completion of CERA / service tax/ revenue audits with minimum hassels.

- Post implementation of GST ensure state level GST compliances.

- Interface with authorities on yearly assessment of taxes across all circles.

- Ensure closure of all the service tax issues related to period prior to 30.09.09 & closure of all the audits with clean audit report including departmental interactions at all levels.

- Toensure that the certificate regarding the monthly compliance has been obtained from the retainers as per the scope of work agreed with them.

3. IT Automation & others.

- To identify the automation need at the hub & highlight the same to Central Tax Team.

- Review of the existing IT automations at regular intervals & suggest of any improvement.

- Preparation of details & scope of work for the consultants to be sent to Central Tax Team.

- Preparation of complete paper book & status of records.

- Complete status of pending assessments i.e. what is available & what is required.

-Ensure uniformity of dashboard across all the circles under hub.

- Providing final outcome of VAT audit / annual return.
