Job Description :
To drive the Metro Trains and Diesel Loco safely and reliably as per time table or as per instructions received from the OCC and/ or Traffic Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
Before departure carrying out the prescribed checks in particular in relation to the functioning and safety of the train / Diesel Loco
Driving trains / Diesel Loco in a proper and safe manner with due regard to signals, speed limits and schedules.
Rectifying minor faults and initiate first intervention measures in the event of faults in the train / Diesel Loco and summoning assistance if required
Shunting the train safely. Dealing with routine records and submitting concise written and oral reports after unusual incidents.
Make announcements for passengers inside the train, when required, in English, Hindi and Marathi.
Clear and effective verbal communication skills in English, to pass on information to passengers with the OCC, via radiophones.
Observe tracks / OHE for any obstacles while driving the train and inform OCC as and when required
Respond to emergency conditions or breakdowns following applicable Standard Operating Procedures
Drive Diesel Shunting loco inside depot and on main line
