Job Description of the Informatica Business Solutions Pvt Ltd Job :
This position will participate in the testing effort of enterprise software. He/she will lead/test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools to increase productivity and efficiency.
Primary Responsibility
Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
Create automation framework and automate test cases using Silk Test, Silk Performer, Java APIs
Execute test cases and analyze and report test results to product teams
Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review
Collaborates effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience
Leads the team technically in terms of understanding business use cases, debugging issues, designing automation framework, decision making on issues, technical assistance in DB, BI tools, Automation, OS, etc.
Leads cross-functional product QA teams.
Mentors/coaches engineers to facilitate their development
Influences development managers to insure appropriate levels of quality on owned technologies.
Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business management
Required Skills: Required Skills
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree
7+ years of experience in Product testing
Familiarity with white box and black box testing
Strong working knowledge in Unix/Windows Operating system
Strong knowledge in RDBMS and experience writing SQL scripts
Knowledge of Perl and Shell scripting
Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication
Ability to work with customers, developers, documentation, product management, support staff
Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile programming methodologies
In-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk and understand varied customer deployments
Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed

Exposure to using/creating framework for automating server side regression testing
Exposure to automation tools such as Silk Test, Visual Test, Silk Performer or similar
Exposure to J2EE technology
Exposure to build and test tools like Maven/TestNG/STAF
