GENERAL SUMMARY: A Websphere Sterling Commerce Software Sales Representative will be responsible for selling Sterling Commerce products to clients in .
Sterling Commerce is a leader in business-to-business (B2B) integration solutions for a wide range of industries and its capabilities include business-to-business process integration and cross-channel solution offerings.
Sterling Commerce has a diverse product portfolio that encompasses managed file transfer, integration solutions, B2B Services and Selling and Fulfillment solutions.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can proactively acquire new business across a large territory and form meaningful repeat purchase relationships with the key contacts in the assigned territory. Ultimate success will come from nurturing repeat business and aggressively driving new business.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Sterling Commerce team, Websphere and coverage reps to identify and close both transactional license and Software as a Service business.
Proven knowledge of Consultative Selling and software solution selling techniques is highly desirable as is significant experience with B2B Integration Solutions & Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
• Deliver Sales of Sterling Commerce software products and solutions against assigned quota and territory.
• Identifies opportunities and sells Sterling Commerce products solutions to current and new accounts.
• Manages and cultivates effective working relationships with clients.
• Executes programs and tactics for selling products and services based on the local strategy.
• Responds to customer requests/issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Keeps management informed with regular activity reports and verbal communications.
• Displays an attitude of goodwill, conscientiousness, and effective businesslike behavior to Customers and co-workers.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Proven track record of successfully managing accounts and meeting/exceeding quota
• 4+ years of sales experience of application software, electronic commerce, sales techniques, and strategy development with specific emphasis on:
- Managed File transfer technologies, solutions and protocols
- B2B Integration Solutions including business process orchestration, high volume electronic message exchange, complex routing, translation and
flexible interaction with external business partners and internal systems
- B2B Services – including exchange of electronic documents and related data between trading partners.
- Selling & Fulfilment business applications for automation and management of collaborative supply chain processes including order capture, order management and transportation management
• Excellent customer relations, verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to successfully close business deals.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Ability to learn Company’s line of products and services.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to negotiate and prioritize projects.
• May require travel.
Minimum Education :
Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Business/Communications or related field, or equivalent education and experience, including achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
