Job Description of the Cisco Systems India Pvt Ltd Job :
The Emerging Solutions Group (ESG) is focused on new businesses for Cisco through the incubation of market transforming, pre-chasm solutions around Smart +Connected Communities, Real Estate, healthcare, education, advertisement, smart grid and other solutions driving multiple billion dollars of incremental growth for Cisco. The group is focused on developing new opportunities through a business led engagement driving Cisco’s network as a platform vision.
The Engagement Manager drives the overall strategy of the customer engagement, plans, scopes and brings in the required ESG and external resources to execute the project. As the primary interface of the ESG group with the customer and the country/regional sales teams, the Engagement Manager helps customers understand the impact of the Network as a Platform on their business and creates ICT enabled strategy for the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Engagement Manager (India) is primarily responsible for leading Smart+Connected Communities strategic engagements with customers in India:
• Prime responsibility will be to lead and manage the overall customer engagement and drive the strategy of the engagement from start to completion
• Understand the customer’s overall vision and strategy, and strategy to use technology to enhance the customer’s overall business
• Plan and scope the strategic engagement with the customer, including project deliverables, goals and milestones
• Work with the sales team to manage the customer relationship, identifying and working with key stakeholders within the customer organization to support the Cisco engagement
• Define and manage resources required for the project execution. Build a team of ESG Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects, Consultants and Analysts, local/regional Sales teams and other partner and Cisco business and technical teams to execute the engagement
• Work with the customer and Cisco team to gather customer’s business requirements for the rollout their ICT services strategy
• Help to define the business models for the specific solutions and opportunities offered to the customer, understand detailed objectives of the customers and align the solution and models to support the customer’s key objectives
• Understands competitor’s positioning and strategies and develop a sustainable competitive strategy and positioning
• Help to identify new solution revenue opportunities in the context of large opportunities and customer satisfaction while working with regional and country sales organizations
Desired Skills and qualifications for the Cisco Systems India Pvt Ltd Job
• Typically require BS in a technical discipline with Masters or advanced degree preferred. 12+ years experience with a mix of program management, consulting and sales management experience desired
• Proven track record and experience managing and delivering on complex projects with customers in the areas of technology / IT strategy
• Deep understanding of technology business models and how they impact current business operating environments
• Ability to engage CXO level executives and customer, partner senior management on matters of business and ICT strategy
• Strong and proven skills with team development and track record of working in high growth environments. With proven management capability of handling high performing technology teams
• Demonstrated marketing and business development skills with the ability to develop and evolve long-term strategies while consistently driving tactical activities.
• Exercises broad independent judgment, and makes strategic decisions, gains organizational acceptance
• Results-oriented, shows initiative and is self-directed with a visible track record of accomplishment
• Leads cross-functional teams; influences and coordinates activities across multiple teams and organizations
• Strong experience working in a complex highly-matrixed global organization and with virtual teams
• Strong dedication to customer success
