About Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) :
The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI)has been established under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 which consolidates various acts & orders that have hitherto handled food related issues in various Ministries and Departments. FSSAI has been created for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.

Qualification for the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Job : Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Experience for the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Job : 15 to 17 Yrs.
Job Description of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Job :
i) Head of Institution and supervise all technical, financial and
administrative functions of the laboratory.
(ii) Function as Director of Central Food Laboratory for analysis of food items samples at
appellate level forwarded by Trial Courts under statutory provisions of Prevention of Food
Adulteration Act, 1954/ the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and tender evidence in court
when summoned for this purpose.
(iii) Functions as assigned by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India under Food
Safety and Standards Act, 2006 from time to time.
