DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship - Government of Maharashtra Scholarship for the Minority Communities Students pursuing Technical and Professional Education / All Courses after H.S.C.(Arts,Commerce and Science)

Ministry of Minority development, Government of Maharashtra is offering the Scholarship for students pursuing Professional and Technical courses /All courses after H.S.C.( Arts,Commerce and Science) education for the economically weaker and meritorious students belonging to Muslim, Sikh,
Buddhist, Christian Parsi and Jain minority communities.

DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship - Applications are invited through Offline/Online Application System for Fresh Scholarship from all students admitted in first year to final year and Renewal of the scholarship for academic year 2009-2010.

Eligibility and required documents for DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship: For all courses

1. Applicant should be Domicile of Maharashtra State and pass S.S.C from Maharashtra.
2. Admission to the course should be through Common Entrance Test / Competitive examination /
without CET.
3. Applicant must have obtained minimum 50 % marks at Higher Secondary / Graduation level.
4. Applicant should not avail any other scholarship / stipend.
5. The total annul income of family/guardian should not be more than 2.50 lakhs.
6. For renewal, applicant must have admitted in the next year.
7. 30 % seats are reserved for girls students.

Documents to be attached with application form for DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship:

1. One Copy of passport size photograph with signature pasted on Application form.
2. Attested certificates of educational qualification (S.S.C. Onwards).
3. Income and minority declaration – affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of minimum Rs.10/- and income
certificate from the employer, if any.
4. Proof of permanent residence- Domicile Certificate/ Any other Documents issued by Gazetted
Officer/Ration Card/Electricity bill/Election Card.

For renewal of scholarship only income declaration and previous year mark sheet is to be
attached along with application form having Form No. of A.Y. 2008-09 ●

DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship - Courses offered :
A) Technical and Professional :-
The professional and Technical courses Diploma / Degree in Engineering/Technology UG & PG
( B.E. / B. Tech/ M. E. / M. Tech), Cement Technology, Fashion Technology, Pharmacy ( B. Pharm /
M. Pharm), Architecture & Town Planning ( UG & PG), Hotel Management & Catering Technology,
Applied Art & Craft ( UG & PG), MCA, MBA/MMS, Law (LLB/LLM), Veterinary Sciences and Animal
Husbandry, CA , ICWAI, CS etc.

B) All courses after H.S.C.( Arts ,Commerce and Science Courses)

Procedure for Submission of Application Form for DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship:

A) For- (Technical and Professional) courses :
The eligible aspiring candidates shall fill the online application form on www.dte.org.in/mcm At the time of
filling of form, the system shall generate Application ID through which the candidate shall know the status of Application. The candidate has to note down the Application ID and password for further use. The candidate should take the printout of the Application form, attach required documents and submit to the concerned institute. The messaging facility is available to the candidate to interact with Regional Offices or Directorate.

Procedure for Scruitinising and Forwarding Application Form for DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship :

1)The institutes under Directorate Technical Education (DTE):
Institute shall log on to the Online System as per the Institute Code and Password provided by DTE,
scrutinize the applications received, confirm the application form through login and issue the receipt of
confirmation to the candidate and forward the scrutinized application form along with report to the concerned Regional Office of Technical Education.

2)The institutes under other Directorates in Maharashtra :
Institute shall manually scrutinize the application form and forward to the concerned Regional Office of
Technical Education.

3)The recognized institutes in India, but outside Maharashtra :
Institute submit the manually scrutinized application forms to the Nodal Officer directly. The institute should send the Applications in batches, instead of waiting for the last date.
B) For- Arts, Commerce and Science Courses :
The eligible aspiring candidates should download the application form www.dte.org.in/mcm and submit it to
the concern institute along with required documents.

Schedule of Activities for DTE Maharashtra Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship.

1 Filling of Application Form by the Candidate on  www.dte.org.in/mcm: 01.03.2010
2 Scrutiny and Confirmation of Application Form by Institute : 02.03.2010
3 Last date to receive the Application at Regional offices of DTE or
DTE: 08.03.2010
4 Display of Provisional Merit List on www.dte.org.in/mcm: 15.03.2010 at 3 PM
5 Submission of Grievances, if any, by Fax on (022) 22690007 : 17.03.2010 upto 5PM
6 Display of Final Merit cum Selection List on  www.dte.org.in/mcm: 20.03.2010 at 5 PM

The amount of scholarship, if sanctioned, shall be transferred (e-Transfer) directly to the students’
account, only through Bank of Maharashtra/ State Bank of India.
The Application received through institute shall be considered.

Note- The students who has applied for Merit -cum- Means Based Scholarship for academic year
2009-10 and whose application form are scrutinized and names are appeared on website
www.dte.org.in/mcm need not apply once again, there application form will be considered for State
Government Scholarship.
