For enrollment to AIEEA UG 2010 Exam:
Undergraduate degree programmes in agriculture and allied science subjects other than veterinary science for filling 15 per cent of the total number of seats in agricultural universities comprising of state agricultural universities (SAU), central agricultural university (CAU), Imphal, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Viswa Bharati (PSB), Sriniketan, Nagaland University (SASARD), Medziphema, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute) Allahabad (AAIDU), and 100 per cent seats in Dairy Technology at National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-II , Pusa, New Delhi 110 012. There are 11 major courses in which admission to undergraduate degree course is provided.

AIEEA UG 2010 - Agriculture Entrance Exam Eligibility:
Indian national, 17-23 years as on December 31, 2010 (born between Jan 1, 1988 and Jan 1, 1994), who has passed and obtained not less than 50 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ PH category) marks in 10+2 exam with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations. Pass in English at 10+2 is essential for admission in some universities. Candidates having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in 10+2 exam is not eligible for admission. For the purpose of entrance examination, these courses are categorised into two streams. The candidate has a right to exercise his/ her option only for one stream. Stream A - agriculture/ biology for admission to undergraduate degree programmes in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries, home science, sericulture, biotechnology and food science and Stream B - mathematics for admission to agricultural engineering, dairy technology, biotechnology, food science, agricultural marketing, banking and cooperation. They can also opt for admission to forestry in limited SAUs. However for forestry and food science technology, a candidate should have taken biology also as one of the subject in 10+2 examination, as per conditions of some of the universities. The examination shall comprise of one paper consisting of physics, chemistry and agriculture/ biology for Stream A and physics, chemistry and mathematics for Stream B . The paper would of two and a half hours duration with 180 objective type questions and maximum of 720 marks. There will be 60 questions each in physics, chemistry, and mathematics/ agriculture/ biology. Each question will carry four marks. Negative marking for wrong answers would be one mark. Answer without any response will not be awarded any mark. Syllabus in Annexure I of the information bulletin.

AIEEA UG 2010 Agriculture Entrance Exam - Form:
Against cash payment from the Registrars of agricultural universities, specified branches of Syndicate Bank, or from the ICAR institutions. May download from www.icar.org.in and follow instructions. Submit with DD in favour of Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR payable at New Delhi to the office of the Controller of Examinations, Education Division, Room No 216, ICAR, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan II, Pusa, New Delhi 110 012.
