Experience for the IBM India Job : 2 to 3 Yrs.
Job Description of the IBM India Job:
• DB2 Database Administrator with hands on experience on DB2 V 8.1 and DB2 V9.0
• Responsible for day to day support of Large DB2 Database.
• The candidate with DB2 Database Partitioning Feature ( DPF) experience should be preferred.
• Capacity Planning for large databases. Performance Tuning for databases
to meet the challenge. This includes change and problem management, and general administration, i.e housekeeping / maintenance / capacity management. Due to the nature of the environment, there is often a necessity to carry out scheduled work outside of working hours.
• Requires very good aptitude and attitude to succeed in this environment.
2.5 -3 years as DB2 DBA experience required
16 or more years of education required
Required Skills - Technical and Non Technical
Expert in 11.x Operating system.,Able to install, Configure, troubleshoot HPUX Operating system.,
Backup and Recovery of Database,Administartion,user Management
“Performance Monitoring,Good understanding on any backup management software i.e. Legato, TSM, Veritas, omniback etc.
Exposure in any storage technologies Medium to large HP XP1024 or EVA or EMC storage, Business copy would be added advantage.
Able to troubleshoot and resolve most advanced HP-UX issues in LVM, File system, services, security, audit, performance tuning & backup.
