As part of a Geo team, you will hold a highly visible position within NetApp and will be directly involved in the creation of a business that is critical to the growth of the company. You will be responsible for developing IT-as-a-Service providers into a channel for NetApp technology.
IT-as-a-Service is a fast growing segment that is changing the way in which IT customers acquire technology. In order to respond to this change, NetApp is executing a go-to-market strategy that requires the development of an ecosystem of service provider partners that will bring NetApp technology as a service to our customers.
This position will be responsible for developing Cloud provider sales opportunities that result in NetApp’s technology being designed into the service offerings of some of the largest service providers in the industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the sell-in strategy for a portfolio of named Cloud providers partners. You must be able to work with the partner’s product management, marketing, product development, sales and management teams to have NetApp technology designed into the services they create. You must have the leadership skills and presence required to manage CXO interactions. In addition to driving OEM-like design wins, you will develop joint go-to-market channels with the Cloud provider to effectively sell services to our mutual customers.
The solutions you will develop will bring together all of the value of NetApp into a consolidated offering for these service providers. You must be able to work with all facets of NetApp to bring the solution together: local sales teams, finance, product business units, legal, service and support, and go-to-market teams. You will act as the business leader for these new relationships and will be responsible for their overall success.
Essential Functions: Key Job Performance Objectives
• Identify design-win opportunities and develop and execute the sell-in strategy for targeted IT-as-a-Service partners.
a. Achieve management defined milestones (MBOs) to convert opportunities into design “wins” for sales teams.
b. Manage pipeline of design opportunities in selected accounts
c. Work with a cross-functional sales, technical and marketing team that brings together all of the resources of NetApp to deliver to the service provider the technical and business solutions they require.
• Work with a broad array of senior executives in both NetApp and our partners to establish a long term relationship between the companies.
Job Requirements for the NetApp India Job
Requirements:
• 10+ years enterprise sales leadership experience (including direct and indirect management of sales resources)
• 10+ years of OEM sales and/or business development experience
• 5+ years of experience in managing large scale, cross-functional projects and teams
• 5+ years of global experience - i.e. managing a global account, managing globally dispersed teams. Ability to travel 30-40% of time (globally) is required.
• 3+ years of storage and/or related industry experience
• Specific knowledge of OEM sales cycles, design-win processes and track record of winning significant “design-ins” with Service Providers
• Demonstrated expertise in creating, executing and driving solution selling and product marketing for complex infrastructure/applications within major partners
• Strong knowledge of Service Providers a must - specific experience with BT, T-Systems, Telefonica, Orange Business Systems, AT&T, Verizon, Rackspace, Terremark, Singtel, and Telstra preferred.
• Exceptional presentation skills - dynamic presenter with ability to convey technology and business value propositions.
• Exceptional project management skills
• Experience working with diverse set of technology ecosystem partners
• Working knowledge of Cloud Service market, opportunities and trends
