What ails Australia?

2 more students were mowed down mercilessly in less than a week in Australia and the bloodbath continues. I wonder what is bothering them. Is it the raise in the standard of life of Asians, especially Indians, there? Are we eating up their jobs? Or is it a cultural mismatch? Whichever way you see it, killing somebody in cold blood, hardly seems to be the solution. I wonder why our students are so intent to travel abroad, despite the horrific crime rate out there.

And the situation seems to be deteriorating. Racial crimes seem to be a thing of the past, but the trend seems to have caught up in recent years. Do they perceive us as easy targets? It’s horrific that crimes of these magnitudes are taking place at this age and time, when war and peace are history.

This just goes to show that the developed countries, well, they are not as developed as they appear. I think the government of Australia should come clean on so many murders and thefts. Bureaucracy makes matter worse, and lip service is the order of the day, with no one really caring an ounce about the killings. But this lackadaisical attitude must change and our government should take stern action against the country and reduce the business facilities of Australians here. The government should also levy heavy tax on the goods and products sold by Australia in the country.

The only positive sign is that this will finally reverse the brain drain of the Indian educated populace and more Indians will end up being proud of their country rather than thinking of ways to escape it.
