Mhada started the sale of forms for Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) lottery scheme for 3,449 flats in 2010. On the first day of Mhada lottery forms sale, Mhada sold 60,095 forms through the 75 branches of Saraswat Bank.

MHADA authorities were expecting the sale to increase by 10,000 forms on Saturday. Less forms were sold because they started Mhada lottery form sale on January 1.
Most of people were busy celebrating on December 31. By Monday, the sale of Mhada lottery forms 2010 is expected to cross 1 lakh a day. Mhada has printed 4.5 lakh forms and the total print order is 10 lakh forms.
The Mhada lottery 2010 will be held in March or April 2010.
This year, Mhada has given the contract for distribution of Mhada lottery forms 2010 to Saraswat Bank. Saraswat Bank is offering 6.5% of interest on the amount collected by Saraswat Bank as earnest money deposit. Saraswat Bank has 75 branches in Mumbai. The Saraswat Bank will collect forms till 6 pm.
The Mhada Lottery 2010 flats are located at Versova, Dahisar, Pratiksha Nagar (Sion), Mankhurd, Malwani and Malad. There are 2,762 Mhada flats for economically weaker sections (EWS), 235 Mhada flats for lower income groups (LIG), 134 Mhada flats for middle income groups (MIG) and 218 Mhada flats for higher income groups (HIG) in this lottery.
