Description of the P&G Job
The Executive - Secretarial & Legal ( the Executive) is responsible for providing support in matters of company secretarial , legal and compliance functions to the General Legal Counsel and the Sr Legal Counsel & Company Secretary in both the listed entities viz of P&G viz Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd and Gillette India Ltd. The Executive should necessarily be an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS ) and also a law graduate ( LL.B) with about 2 years of post qualification experience in the areas of Corporate Legal and Secretarial function .The Executive is expected to be fully conversant with the company secretarial functions like handling Board & Shareholders meetings, filing of returns etc in electronic mode , maintenance of statutory records , ensuring compliance with the Company Law and the Securities Laws/Listing Agreement etc. The Executive is expected in course of time to thoroughly familiarize himself with the facets of handling litigation, Product claims- support and competitor challenges , Media laws, ASCI matters, Packaging Law, Competition law , Contracts and other legal issues that crop up in course of the business operations.
The Executive is expected to familiarize himself with the compliance function and support the General Counsel and the Sr Counsel in the process of implementation of an overall compliance management and monitoring system. The Executive is expected to get conversant with online operations on dedicated compliance related software.
