The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training(CCRT) was set up in May 1979. CCRT has taken over the Scheme-Propagation of Culture among College and School students, which was being implemented by Delhi University since 1970, where a Research and Production Cell was functioning for this purpose. In the year 1995, CCRT initiated 2 regional Centres at Udaipur and Hyderabad on the recommendations of the parliamentary standing committee on Human Resources and Development.
CCRT functions as an autonomous organization under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India.CCRT’s main thrust is to make students aware of the importance of culture in all development programmes by conducting a variety of training programmes for in-services teachers, teacher educators, educational administrators and students throughout the country.
CULTURAL TALENT SEARCH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME-2010
CCRT Talent Search Scholarship Scheme is For:
Developing the talent of young children in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture and crafts laying special emphasis on rare art forms which are in the process of becoming extinct. The value of scholarship is Rs 3600 per annum and the actual tuition fee paid for the specialised training to the institution or guru is also reimbursed subject to a ceiling of Rs 3600 per year. The scholarship is awarded Centre For Cultural Resources And Training, 15 A, Sector-7 , Dwarka, New Delhi 110 075 initially for two years at a time and renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to the awardee maintaining good progress. 500 scholarships are awarded every year at national level.
CCRT Talent Search Scholarship Scheme - Who can apply
Children whose date of birth is in between July 1, 1996 and June 30, 2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2010-11 . Minimum three years training in the field of art form in which scholarship is being applied, either with a guru or in an institution is essential. Students applying for performing arts are required to submit a certificate from the guru/ instructor imparting training, clearly mentioning the details regarding the training received by them along with the bio-data of the guru/ instructor. Students applying for painting must attach three specimens of their latest work (either original or photograph) and those in crafts, sculpture, etc should attach three photographs of latest work, duly attested by their guru/ instructor along with their bio-data .

Download from CCRT website www.ccrtindia.gov.in or obtain free of cost personally/ by post from any of the CCRT Regional Centres or CCRT headquarters at New Delhi. Submit completed form with relevant documents to CCRT New Delhi.
