Telecommuting The trend of the future!
No more grimy travel, sickening politics and orchestrated humiliation! Telecommuting is the best option for you, if you’re sick of the toll a full time job has taken on you. Telecommuting, in other words, working from home, is catching up and more and more people are opting for the work at home possibility.
Initially, for a couple of years, you can take on the responsibility of a full time job, but if you want to start a family, balance your life and work, and even take some time out for yourself, then you can try the work at home option.
Unfortunately, not many people are qualified to work from home, as some people thrive in a highly competitive, corrupt place! Also, some people need to be constantly supervised to get even that one last thing right, and of course, then there are those who go out to make social contacts and pile on their problems to others, and make it look like work!
I have nothing against socializing, but being a peoples’ person has its drawbacks, as you constantly have to deal with jerks, losers, MCPs, traditionalists, weaker competition, jealous mates, sex addicts, porn addicts and all addicts, except work addicts!
So, if you want to be in a safe haven, and are supremely qualified and good for your job, then a telecommuting job is ideal, not for freshers, though!
The advantages of telecommuting are manifold and I can think of only a few drawbacks. You have to be adept at technology, and keep updating your self and knowledge. You have to be organized, disciplined, sincere, and persuasive, as it might take a lot of effort to convince your critics and enemies.
Also, be wary of tall promises and over the top deals, in most probability, you will not get your side of the deal and then they would have successfully exploited you. Be afraid, be very afraid!
