Job Profile for the GE Job :
Role Summary/Purpose
Sales Manager for the region under the Lighting business in the West region-India.Front line sales role with a committed targets to be achieved over the year
Essential Responsibilities
1.Handling sales in given area/account
2.Would be responsible for coverage of Buildings and other industries in and around area, will cover key customers through interaction with channel partners, consultants, and end-customers for the Lighting business.
3.Person will be a front-end and would help sales in preliminary generation of enquiries and specifications at the end user place
4.Person will report into the concerned Branch Manager/ Regional Sales Manager.
5.The person will be given a target for the year to be achieved and will be reporting the numbers as per the sales reporting process in GE.
6.Core areas to handle -Lighting- Indoor & Outdoor (Indoor: Commercial, Retail & Industrial Lighting, and Outdoor: Highway, Open area, Facade & Stadium lighting etc.
Qualifications/Requirements for the GE Job :
1. BE &. 6-7 yrs on hand exp in Lighting Industry
OR
2. Diploma in Electrical engineering with a considerable experience in the Lighting industry(8-10 years plus)
Desired Characteristics for the GE Job :
Ideal candidate should be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a product organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
Should also have a good technical know how about the Lighting Industry as such.Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Must be prepared for extensive travel. Knowledge of Local area will add to the advantage.
Good External Focus and patience in a difficult market will also help.
