Is Corporate Sector full of MCPs ? What do you think?
During my 7 years at work, I’ve had some terrible moments and people to deal with. I have no idea why certain people are sadistic and enjoy humiliating and torturing others. It’s just a case of a crooked mind. The Indian corporate scenario is full of such psychopaths, unfortunately.
Very often companies that project themselves as ‘up’ there really ruin it for good candidates. Even with 7 years experience, and a double MA, juniors and HR personnel have the gaul to invite me over for fresher jobs. Nothing can be more humiliating than that, and you must voice your opinions every now and then to such pathetic losers, who just want to be ahead of the game at any cost and not give the right person their due.
What one has to do in this case is to stand firmly for your self and your convictions, even if it means trampling over a few MCPs. But that’s what you’re supposed to do to an MCP anyway, walk all over him!
Even if you blow your lid at them, it’s perfectly normal because then they know you can expose their awful tactics. It won’t hurt to hurt back all those who have been trying so hard to see you crawl in the dirt, fie on them!
And that’s what I hate about capitalism, it beats all your efforts at conducting yourself well, and leaves you a beast, only greedy and craving for more. Instead of harnessing your potential, it brings out the worst in you, which is a sad trend.
And it is an organized crime of sorts; the whole department and company will, instead of making place for you, plot and plan for your untimely demise, career-wise, and if possible, even literally!
I think the only way out of such a scenario is to bulldoze your way through, as ignoring, complaining and falling in line won’t help.
