About ITBP – ITBP was conceived on 24 Oct, 1962. Presently ITBP is deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000′ to 18500′ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of the India-China Border.

ITBP Job Description :
Applications are invited from Female Indian citizens, resident of the following States for filling up of vacancies for the year 2009 on temporary basis likely to be permanent, shown against each State forthe post of Mahila Constable ( General Duty) Group â€žC? in the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force.
The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules.
ITBP Pay Scale :
a) Pay Scale – Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/- per month.
b) Other allowances: The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions. They will be covered under new restructured defined contributory pension scheme.
ITBPÂ Age Limit : Between 18 to 23 Years
(Cut off date for determining age will be 01 August 2009).
ITBP Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years.
ITBP Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for the children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and riots of 2002 in Gujarat. SC/ST/OBC relexation as per Govt. instructions will be in addition. Children and dependent family member should produce a certificate to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District where the victim was killed.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of following:-
(i) All persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December 1989.
(ii) The Govt. servant in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt. Persons serving in Govt./semi Govt. department may send their applications through the proper channel alongwith “No Objection Certificate” as per the format in Annexure-I.
ITBP Desired Profile:
Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board/ University/National Open School (National Institute of Open School).
ITBP Physical Standards :
Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
ITBP Application Fee :
Application Fee will be Rs. 50/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC category only and no fee will be charged from SC/ST
ITBP Submission of Application :
Eligible and interested candidates should send their Application and admit card duly filled in Hindi or English only in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure â€žI? and Annexure â€žII?. The application shall be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application duly attested by Gazetted Officer along with application fee and enclosures as in para-8 to the authority mentioned above in Col. 9 of para-4 so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date.
ITBP Last Date For Receipt of Application : 14th December 2009 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 21st December 2009.
