Relief in failure!

Most people think that succeeding plays an important part in a person’s career. But the fact remains that many people refuse to succeed. They take refuge in failure so that they don’t have to meet with trying challenges. And why shouldn’t they? If the stakes are high and if many people react to your success or failure, it’s better to take the easier way out.

I sometimes take this course, as I feel that I meet with many obstacles, once I’m ‘in’ and in demand. Firstly, success makes you unpopular. There are many people jealous of your heights, your family can’t adjust and adapt to the new found success and you yourself have certain limitations.

I know many people who take refuge in a lesser haven, for fear of being elevated to dizzy heights. Is this the right approach, because for the individual’s stability, it is? But for those who are either looking up at him or down on him, it’s a huge let down.

Many people are disgruntled and unhappy if you progress. You lose your old friends, become alone at the pinnacle of your career and people generally just hope and pray that you make that one last mistake. Is the price one pays for success justified?

Or should you jolt yourself out of your complacency and keep challenging yourself? But where does it all end? Once you’ve crossed one hurdle, there’s another one waiting right there for you and it’s not humanly possible to succeed every time. Are we successful so that people think us to be heroes? Are we successful so that we get more followers?

Or do we run around success to feed our egos?

Which ever way you take it, if there are too many people objecting to your strides and if you have to deal with a lot of problems and hiccups, then it’s better to let go. Correct me if I’m wrong.
