About Recruitment and Assesment Centre (RAC) :
RAC, the unique Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO was set up on 23 July 1985 after getting exemption from the purview of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is situated at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC has undertaken various recruitment programmes to induct about 1000 scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories and assessed the suitability of more than 1400 scientists for promotion to next higher grade through duly constituted Assessment Boards and more than 150 senior scientists have been assessed for their promotions through Peer Review System.

Scientist D : 07 posts, PayScale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- & Grade Pay 7600/-, Age : 45 years
Scientist C : 06 posts, PayScale : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- & Grade Pay 6600/-, Age : 35 years
