Job Description of the Calypso Job :
Responsible for all aspects of the Company¿s billing for consulting hours and billable expenses.
Process accounts payables for the US and other international operations through Oracle 11i business software, interfacing with all levels of the organization to ensure proper approvals.
Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis for India subsidiary and other Calypso international locations.
Interface with the Mumbai local bookkeepers to process India accounts payable, monthly payroll and other month end close functions.
Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis for India subsidiary and other Calypso international locations.
Work with US based International Accountant in preparation of budget vs. actual variances of monthly subsidiaries.
Work with US based accountants to transition various US month end close responsibilities to India.
Work with US based accounting team to build a cohesive accounting team in our Mumbai office.
Interface with field operations to resolve billing and collections issues.
Document policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
Other ad-hoc projects.
Job Requirements for the Calypso Job
Master in Business/Finance or Technical field
3 to 5 years working experience working within the banking/financial industry
A solid understanding of financial products like fixed income securities, foreign exchange, commodities, or derivatives is a must
Customer Relationship Management Skills
Qualitative Analysis Skills
Business Analysis Skills
Strong Mathematical or Analytical Background
Must be able to work independently
Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
Strong problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
Background in development is a plus.
