IGNOU Full time Degree and Diploma programmes in Engineering January 2010 session
IGNOU-Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in collaboration with Sri Angala Parameshwari Educational Trust (SAPET) invites application from eligible candidates for admission to the following full time Degree and Diploma Programmes in Engineering for fresh candidates and working professionals with flexible timings.
1. Civil Engineering (CE)
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
4. Mechanical Engineering (ME)
5. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
The above programmes are being offered at various IGNOU-SAPET centres for engineering studies throughout India
Degree in Engineering (B.Tech)
Admission to 1st year
IGNOU - IGNEAT - Eligibility criteria: 10+2 pass (PCM) or equivalent, Duration: 4 years
Admission to lateral entry to 2nd year
IGNOU - IGNEAT Eligibility: 3 years diploma in any branch of engineering, or B.Sc. (PCM) or Bachelor in computer application (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) or equivalent#, Duration: 3 years
(#Eligible only for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Diploma in Engineering
Admission to 1st year
IGNOU - IGNEAT Eligibility criteria: 10th pass or equivalent, Duration: 3 years
Admission to lateral entry to 2nd year
IGNOU - IGNEAT Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 years ITI certificate in Engineering Trades or 10+2 vocational (Engineering streams only), Duration: 2 years

IGNEAT 2009 Aptitude Test (Online mode): September 6-13, 2009
Announcement of Results (on website): September 21, 2009
Admission and counseling: 2nd week of October 2009
Admission to the IGNOU-SAPET Engineering programmes is offered through an aptitude test ‘IGNOU Engineering Aptitude Test’ (IGNEAT 2009) to be held during September 6-13, 2009 at the designated centres. It will be conducted in English, Hindi and few other regional languages.
Student handbook and prospectus for IGNOU-SAPET Engineering programmes 2009 can be obtained from School of Engineering and Technology, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi and various IGNEAT 2009 Test Centres by paying Rs. 500/- in cash at the respective sale counters or by sending a sum of Rs. 550/- through a demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of Indira Gandhi National Open University payable at New Delhi.
