Job Description
“The candidate will be the key member of the performance center of excellence for the organization. The candidate will be leading a team of performance data analysts and will be responsible for the functioning of the performance Lab.
The candidate will be having core skills in the product performance tuning of products based on LAMP technologies.
The candidate will work on historical performance data analysis of various web products and will take a lead in creating and maintaining an internal data mart for the same.
He will identify various essential performance reports like performance trend of any property with respect to the past time, and trends with respect to page weights, load on the system, change in the page views and the geographical data.
The candidate will be leading a team of data analysts in identifying traffic patterns, user engagements, and transactions and based on that will provide observations and recommendations for performance.
The candidate should be reasonably well versed with different mathematical models like standard deviation, standard distribution, median Vs. Average etc.
The candidate should be having experience in using third party monitoring tools like Gomez or Keynote and doing detailed analysis of the performance data.
The candidate will be responsible in setting up competitor data analysis using third party tools and identify bottlenecks with respect to the product performance of the properties.
The candidate will have to follow up on the bugs raised as part of the work and get the resolution.
The ideal candidate will be working in web product companies with focus on performance engineering having clear understanding of performance measurements.
He should be able to lead the team by example and drive the data analysis.
He should be well versed with the industry standard tools used in the field of end user performance measurement like Gomez.
Should be technically proficient to work with the engineers, understand their work and anticipate issues.
Desired profile:
Experience: 6-8 years
Education background: B.E./B.Tech./MCA or equivalent
Mandatory skills:
1. Minimum 6 years technical experience in the open source web technologies like Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP.
2. At least 3 years experience in the end user performance measurements using third party tools.
3. Sound experience in doing competitor data analysis and interpretation of data.
4. Expertise in representing data statistically.
Soft skills:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Good presentation skills.
3. Strong analytical skills
