Yahoo Mumbai requires Engineering Manager - Assignments and Consulting
The candidate will be the key member of the performance center of excellence for the organization. The candidate will be leading the team of performance analysts who will analyze different set of performance monitoring data and will provide recommendations for the product.
The candidate will be having core skills in the product performance tuning of products based on LAMP technologies.
The candidate will work on challenging projects for performance improvement of the products and support the product engineering team for performance improvement.
He will continuously look out for different ways to improve product performance and will support the implementation of the same. He will lead the team in providing performance consulting to different teams and regions in the organization.
He will be looking into different areas which include front end, backend, network and ad technologies to improve end user performance.
He will have to track the various bugs created as part of the projects and follow up on them diligently to get the resolution.
He should be able to visualize good concepts in tools and should be able to lead the team in development of the tools.
The candidate will have to participate in creating different processes regarding performance data of various internal products and establish the process in the organization.
The candidate should be leading the team to create various performance improvement best practices and case papers and publish in the organization.
The ideal candidate will be working in web product companies with focus on performance engineering having clear understanding of performance measurement and improvements towards end users over different technologies.
He should be able to lead the team by example and drive the assigned projects to completion with desired results.
He should be well versed with the industry standard tools used in the field of end user performance measurement like Gomez.
Should be technically proficient to work with the engineers, understand their work and anticipate issues.
Experience: 8-10 years
Education background: B.E./B.Tech./M.S. in Comp. Sc./MCA or equivalent
Mandatory skills:
1. Minimum 6 years technical experience in the open source web dev technologies like Linux, Apache, My SQL and PHP.
2. Minimum 4 years of team leading experience.
3. In depth understanding of end user performance analysis
4. Sound experience in Front end, backend and ad technologies.
Soft skills:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Good presentation skills.
3. Strong process awareness.
4. Team building experience
