For selection (Indian Air Force Engineering Knowledge Test EKT): No 77 Aeronautical Engineering Course permanent commission for men anfd No 49 short service Commission for men and women, commencing July 2010.
Indian Air Force Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) Eligibility: Age 18 to 28 yrs, as on July, 2010 (born between July 2, 1982 and July 1, 1992). Indian citizens, secured 60 percent all papers put together (Original degree, latest by June 15, 2010). Minimum height for men is 157.5 cms and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.
Indian Air Force Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) Eligible candidates will be called for EKT at various centres. EKT has two parts, namely, Part A- General Engg, and Part B-Specialised paper for each engg discipline. The specialised papers are in mech engg, aeronaut engg, electronic and Instrumentation engg and computer engg/IT.
Indian Air Force Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) Objective test of one hour. Candidates must pass in both general and specialized papers to qualify for further testing. After EKT, shortlisted candidates will be called for personality test at Air Force Selection Boards at Mysore, Dehradun and Varanasi. Stage I consists of intelligence test and picture perception and discussion test, conducted on first day. Those who qualify Stage I will undergo stage Ii testing. Stage II tests psychological test, group tests and interview , will be conducted over next four days. Medical exam at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bangalore for those qualified by AFSBs after Stage II testing.
