IT Job - Junior Application Developer (Java, J2EE, Oracle & Unix)

Job Description : Designs, implements, and communicates solutions with minimal supervision
Translates business requirements into functional technology requirements and technical designs
Facilitates business calls for high severity incidents
Provides input in project planning sessions with businesses, business analysts, and team members to analyze Business IT requirements
Collaborates with project team members to define and design project scope for each project Works closely with Information Architects to create logical data models
Manages new requirements of small to medium complexity of application code changes
Ensures applications interact efficiently with interfacing applications and platforms
Defines and implements back-up / recovery procedures
Creates technical specifications for senior developers to review
Develops application code unit and integration testing strategies
Plans and implements application upgrades and migrations
Qualifications
Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience on Unix platform, Oracle database and Java application development
Experience and good understanding of Java, J2EE, Oracle, UNIX scripting and MQ
Experience and good understanding of system design, application integration and project management
Must have comprehensive expertise in software development process
Good analytical and problem solving skills, ability to execute and solve complex problems independently
Excellent communication skills
Desired Profile
3 to 5 years of experience in a banking/financial institution
Knowledge and experience of Liquidity products (sweeping, pooling and/or deposits)
Knowledge and experience with file transfer (NDM, SFTP, etc.) and Clear Case Job Applications Development.
