MAT - MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses

How to apply: Candidate can choose any one of the three modes to apply
• Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 980/- from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, listed Study Centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi (Phones 011-24653382 & 41757046)
• Obtain crossed DD of Rs. 1050/- in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Register online at website link www.aima-ind.org/matsep09
• Register online at website link www.aima-ind.org/matsep09 with Credit Card payment. Detailed procedure is given on the website link

How to take the test: Candidate can choose any one of the two options

Paper-Pencil Test or Computer Based Test (Online Test)

• Paper-Pencil Test will be held on 06 September 2009 (Sunday). The paper-pencil test timing is 1000 - 1230 hrs

• Computer Based Test (Online Test) will be held from 07 September 2009 (Monday) onwards in different time slots at specified test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.

MAT Score is acceptable even to certain other Institutes for considering admission of candidates for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma programmes, besides the above Institutes, subject to specific cut-off marks and other admission parameters. The AIMA - MAT Exam scores are useful for institutes listed below:

Q. What is the validity of MAT score?
A. Validity of the MAT score is for that particular session for most Management Institutes, but for AIMA-CME’s PGDM & PGDITM programmes, the score is valid for one year.

Q. Is MAT held all over the country what about a person living abroad? Can he/she apply for it?
A. MAT is conducted in all major cities in the country and in leading cities abroad. For further clarification, see MAT bulletin or contact our information centre.

Q. Do we get a separate Admit Card for appearing in MAT?
A. Candidate has to download his/her admit card from aima website 7 days before the Test Date with the registration form number. No separate admit card is mailed to candidate.

Q. Is there any age bar for it? Any Job experience required, to appear in MAT?
A. There is no age bar. Job experience is not necessary.

Q. Is appearance in MAT necessary for getting admission into PGDM/ MBA programme ?
A. Yes, MAT is necessary for admission into PGDM / equivalent programmes offered by AIMA or other MIs who participate in it.

Time for AIMA MAT Exam: 150 minutes
Marks allocation AIMA - MAT Exam

Correct attempt: 1 mark

Incorrect attempt: Negative marking nor specified
Reading Comprehension : 40 Marks

Data Interpretation/Data Sufficiency : 40 Marks

Quantitative Aptitude : 40 Marks

Logical and Critical Reasoning : 40 Marks
