Kasab - And I confess to my crime!
Kasab - And I confess to my crime! - Kasab’s dramatic turnaround in court has left even his own lawyer perplexed. Honesty is regarded highly in the Indian scheme of things, and Kasab has done the right thing by confessing to his crime. But what brought the change? A few months ago he was harking out loud, pleading his innocence and now he has backtracked. I must take this opportunity to congratulate him. He can be given a befitting sentence by the court and can turn into a better human being.
So, he has spilled the beans on the mastermind of the attack and has named all those who had incited him to act in such a heinous manner. He can be used to go to the root of the problem so that the Indian government can shock the daylights out of the perpetrators of the crime.
Owning up responsibility for his actions is a kind of whistle blowing he has indulged in against his own people and the system that grows such kinds of parasites. He should be punished, but the Indian government should also realize how jehadis are created and what all goes on in the name of religion in some sick states.
Kasab, when he came to India, brought with him the burden of a failed state and his desperate act shows that some people and certain systems in the world are begging to be reformed. He had to do all that he did, just to realize that he had been wrong from the beginning and that those who were supporting him were even more in the wrong.
Kasab represents that part of the world that has been left out in the lurch. It is a world pleading for attention and help from the better counterparts of the rest of the world. This man is a crying example of all that is going wrong in the name of governance, religion, society and that certain sections of society have only crime to offer to the rest of the world. And I confess to my crime - Kasab.
