Mumbaikars may have to wait a whole year before they can use the Bandra-Worli Sea Link that was originally slated to be completed after the parliamentary elections. The delay, said officials, is due to differences among the firms that are involved in the work, with many threatening to pull out of the project.
The reason for their move, they said, was because the companies have been asked to give longer guarantee periods for their work than what had already been mentioned. MSRDC chairperson Vimal Mundada said, “I will intervene if the differences are hampering work.” Source : The Times of India
