The Congress Left Alliance

The latest news on the political front is that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is roping in the Leftist parties to form a majority in Delhi. Will the Leftist-Congress coalition work? Although Communism is alive and kicking in states like West Bengal, does it make sense to revive it in the whole of the country? Does this mean the end of Capitalism and privatization all over the country? The recession the world over and scams like the Satyam debacle are certainly proving so. Will a move to Communism end us up in a state like China, poised to be the superpower of the coming years?

Will the Congress be able to maintain the fine balance between its minority and mainstream Hindu voters? Will Hindus and Muslims bury the hatchet and learn to live in harmony in states like Gujarat? Or will the Narendra Modis and LK Advanis re-ignite the passions of individuals once again? Will leaders like Mamta Bannerjee and Medha Patkar be successful in driving out MNCs? Is it good that villagers are demanding their land back? Aren’t dams and companies good for the economy of the country? Or are they really? Is uncontrolled industrialization good for the ecology and environmental issues of the country? Will Kasab go scot-free?

Before you vote, here are some of the questions that should emerge in your mind. Consider UP and Bihar. Will Mayawati and Laloo Prasad succeed in lowering the rich-poor divide? Are the Southern countries with leaders like Jayalalitha too conservative and religious? Is infiltration in Assam and Nagaland spiraling out of proportion? Is the LTTE threat in the South over? Are we in control of our borders? The questions are endless and the answers not enough.

What India needs is sound solutions, not fads. We have to improve the grassroots situations in the most backward of our regions. Poverty, unemployment, farmer suicides, higher education, female empowerment, infrastructure, housing, water, electricity, roads, good governance, senior citizens….. Can any person or party give us all these or do we have to work them out on our own? Will celebrities in the running like Navjot Singh Sidhu, Mohammed Azharuddin, Mallika Sarabhai, Shekhar Suman, Nafisa Ali, Shashi Tharoor make a difference? Will Kirit Somaiya and Ram Naik from the BJP emerge victorious in Mumbai? Will the congress agenda of generating more jobs, eradicating poverty, stepping up public investment in agriculture, creating more jobs and seats for women, addressing the issues of the North East, work? Only time and the incisive minds of the electorate will tell.

It has been a hard job to find such informative and important tags from net. I went through your post, which made me update about online marketing products. I’ve been concerned with these all, since so long and doing work for my friend to promote his online business.
