Manmohan Singh- In praise of a true leader

Manmohan Singh is the best PM India ever had. If you read his resume, you will realize what a powerhouse of knowledge, information and experience he is. Singh was a gold medalist in all his college years. That proves the brilliant mind and the astute intellect of this very humble prime minister. On this Republic Day, what better way to prove your patriotism than eulogize the true leader of our country? It was probably the best decision that PV Narasimha Rao made in 1991, when he appointed Singh to the post of finance minister in his cabinet. Singh has successfully led India out of the Dark Ages and pushed its economy towards radical reform and powerful growth. It was he who through his economic policies has pulled India out of bad debts and the inability to pay back international loans. He is also instrumental in modernizing the Indian economy and pushing it towards international standards. Singh also cut out all the flab of excessive bureaucracy and ‘babudom’ amongst the Indian ministers.

Singh, having graduated from Oxford and Cambridge, is an economics scholar and knows the pulse of the economy of the country. It was he who removed the government control over businesses that led to a state of free trade and privatization. He is the quintessential economic reformer beyond compare. Although his policies have reignited and replenished the urban Indian, most rural citizens are hoping for some reforms to benefit them as well. Not for nothing has he been labeled the ‘liberator’ of the Indian economy. As a PM, Manmohan Singh’s government has left little out of its agenda. His coalition government has taken care of foreign policies and international organization effectively. It has also paid due justice to science and technology. The defence and internal security have also been beefed up. The coalition’s economic reforms have provided relief to many. His fiscal policy has been successful for the full tenure of his stint as PM.He has also not neglected administrative reforms. His government has taken care of water, electricity, roads and development. The UPA government has improved the status of minorities in the country. It has assured of sufficient food and nutrition supplies to all parts of the country. The education and health sectors have also been looked after efficiently, with maximum changes in the rural areas. Agriculture and employment have also been given an impetus during Singh’s tenure.
All aspects of polity have been taken into account by the able PM and India is not far away from the status of superpower. Under Singh’s capable leadership, India has truly ‘arrived’ on the map of the world.
