Find your solace in nature

What is this life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare….no time to stare at earths beauty because we have a sense of duty. In today’s world it’s quite like this. Especially in towns and cities where people are in the eternal race against time that whatever little of our mother earth is left is neglected and people find their fast and furious lives rather frustrating. Nobody would ever stop to listen to the song of a hummingbird or sit and watch a grazing herd. People rarely notice the things around them, walking on the beach in the early hours of the morning when the sunbeams are defeating the darkness and arising from the deep abyss of the night, the eyes, rather than looking at the magnificent beauty of nature, will be trying to picture the afternoon meeting with the boss or the assessment at school.

Lives are so congested with things to do the prioritizing becomes a difficult task. Buying a new car would turn into a priority as opposed to going on a simple picnic in a garden. The simple pleasures of life have been replaced by complex science and robotics. Instead of going out and playing tennis, a regular teenager would prefer playing virtual tennis on the home theatre.

The pace of life has accelerated to such a rate that even one halt can cause an accident. We have our balconies and terraces at home, but think about it, how many of us actually leave the virtual world of the computer and television and go soak the beauty of nature. Balconies and terraces,  that at one time were built for the purpose of being able to enjoy nature and fresh air have now merely become a place to dry clothes.

Simple pleasures cannot be bought by money. The experience of sitting on a hillside all day and watching the sunrise, children playing,  birds singing, winds blowing, horses neighing , the stream running by, and hours later the reflection of the setting sum in it, is a delicacy in itself and cannot replaced by any amount of wealth. So what is the use of all those green notes and stocked up bank accounts if at the end you have not noticed what true beauty is.

Worries take up so much space in our mind and heart that our smile is lost. The radiant beam of a smile can change someone’s life, but we are too busy tackling exaggerated problems to ever just start into dejected eyes and give a warm smile. We are so entangled in a web of worries that we can never take time out to pat someone on the back and say “well done!”. We care too much about our own personal selves that sometimes we fail to notice those closets, to us. Can you remember the last time you left the worries behind, threw the problems away, slowed down a little and walked on the street under house, instead going in an air conditioned luxuries car, and actually opened your eyes to the world of optimism and cheer around you? So you recall the last time you heard a bird’s song, the rustle of the leaves or even the sound of the wind flying past you? If not then I think it’s high time you give up caring too much about problems, worries, fights and misunderstanding and just spend a day in a garden or a beach doing nothing but enjoying nature …. And I am sure you will find your solace there.
