Mumbai Terror - How to handle Disasters
The Mumbai Terror Attacks on 26th November, where we lost almost 200 near and dear ones, injured at least 250 and left lots disturbed, angry and upset. After more than a month of Terror Attacks on Mumbai somethings are changing but not enough to make us feel safer. Many of us are still facing the panic attacks, not sure and fearing that terror will hit us again. . Here are some ways to cope.
1) Kimmaya offers disaster survival training for a medical emergancy, air and sea crises and during a terror attack. Former army officer Vinod Nair, who is trained in live combat, conducts the course.Free training for housing societies and civic groups.

2) The Krav Maga Federation uses military moves in their Counter-terrorist, Special Weapons and Tactics and hostage Crisis Courses. Their Delhi instructors would fly down to Mumbai to Train groups of 10 and more.

3) The Psychoanalytic Therapy And Research Centre offers counseling to the victims of the recent attacks, to their families and to those psychologically affected by the terror attacks. Sessions will be held at the Horniman Circle clinic.

4) The Trauma Counseling Cell at Jaslok Hospital provides counseling by Dr Maya to the police, firemen, navy and other affected by the attacks.
