Babel - This dramatic piece of work connects three distinctly different stories of struggling people and fleshes out the connections between seemingly unconnected people. The root of all problems in the film is simply a lack of understanding one another. Babel is a film made in 2006 and directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Guillermo Arriaga. The movie had a multi national cast from across the world including known names like Brad Pitt and Kate Blanchett. Babel invents multiple stories taking place in Morocco, Japan, Mexico and the United States. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Drama. It was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and two nominations for Best Supporting Actress and won one for Best Original Score. Grossed $100 million worldwide.
Forrest Gump - This instant classic tells the story of the Forrest Gump, a man of lower than average intelligence, through his own eyes. He struggles with his personal life but has no problem sitting through his unintentional involvement in almost every major event in the 60’s and 70’s, of most which he is highly unaware of their significance. A great mix of a personal story woven around historical events in America. One of the best Top Hanks movies. Ocean’s Eleven - This action packed, sly, and humorous spy flick is about Danny Ocean and his eleven co-conspirators in a large scale robbery of three world class casinos. Starring an incredible cast including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Brad Pitt, and Don Cheadle.
