5 Super Chinese Restaurants in Bandra
We make an attempt to put together 5 nice Chinese restaurants in and around Bandra.
1. China Gate, Waterfield Road: An old time favourite of Bandrawalas. It does the entire range of Veg and Non-Veg food and they do it well. Remember, they run packed house almost on all days and its better to block a table on the weekend if you don’t want to wait for 45 mins plus!! Roughly costs around Rs 700 – 800 per person for a mean for two. For Reservations call: 24813313.
2. China Garden, Khar Danda Road: Well this is the suburban cousin of the really popular town joint by the same name. China Garden, Bandra recently opened and it still to draw the crowds that the more famous town cousin is able to do. For Reservations call: 26002611.
3.Golden Orchid, Waterfield Road: A neighbour of China Gate and at the same corner as China Gate. Not sure if they share the same kitchen but Golden Orchid is much bigger and grander. Serves both Chinese and Thai food. Lots of nice chicken dishes to try here like Black Bean Grilled Chicken and Dragon Chicken. The Crabs done in Singapore styles is also worth trying. Also noticed that there are a few party locations available and regular parties happen here. This place also costs Rs 600 plus for a dinner for two. For Reservations call: 26402256/57.
4. Liaos Szechewan Kit, Opp Bandra Medical Store, Hill Road: This is an economy joint serving the popular Chinese cuisine on Hill Road. Not a fancy place but is fairly popular for people looking for good economical food. Ginger Honey Chicken is what seems to attract most people. Also for the Veggies try Stir fried Veggies. 5. Royal China, TurnerRoad: My favourite to have lunch as they serve and amazing spread of DimSums. They have a fixed DimSums set “executive” buffet which is perfect for the people looking for a quick bite. Ask for as many types of exotic DimSums and you will have a feast. The rest of the food is also very nice and also on the expensive side. You also tend to find a few celebrities and some fancy cars parked outside Royal China in the late evenings.
